Many years back, I read a Sci-Fi novel in which the author had human space travelers on another planet, an outpost colony, and those folks were scheduled to return and a rocket ship to be sent to pick them up. Unfortunately, at home socialism had set in, class warfare and the citizens wanted that money spent at home for social programs and not with the space program. The colonists were stranded running out of supplies, and life-systems to maintain.

Basically, the politicians of the government decided it was more prudent for them allow the wishes of the people to prevail, thus, no rocket was sent to pick up the colonists and they died. As bad as that Sci Fi Novel had portrayed that potential eventuality of the future, it has always stuck with me how times change, and how the greedy masses never have their desires satisfied and how they are willing to sacrifice a few, as long as they get what they want.

Now then, let’s bring this philosophical debate full-circle to the present period. You see, there was an interesting article in Aviation Week on November 4, 2011 titled; “European Turmoil Imperils Space Budgets,” which presents an intriguing and unfortunate challenge for the forward progression of humankind. The article had stated that;

“The EC is busy budget cutting among the 27 members of the European Union after a draft budget plan abandoned future funding for the Global Monitoring for Environment and Security (GMES) project. Despite having sunk $3.16 billion into the flagship Earth-observation project to date, the EC plan would shift the burden of GMES operations funding to individual member-states, a gamble that could spark protests from EU member governments, and which carries significant political risk.”

Anyone that thinks China is slowing down in their space exploits has not been paying attention much, a few days later after that article above came out two more appeared in Space Daily Online News Syndicate titled; “Will China’s next space mission be manned?” and “China’s space industry to see accelerated expansion over next 10 years,” which seem to indicate that China has the will, funding, and desire to conquer space, even if the Western Nations fail to make good on their lofty and optimistic plans.

One has to ask why the Western World will not keep good on their promises to their space missions, and siphon money needed for exploration and the advancement of humankind into more free fishes for the masses, whose quench will never be satisfied and in the end socialism will win and the progress will stop, and “The Regressives” will indeed rule the political will on Earth. Please consider all this.

We find celebrities in every field. Celebrity Sports persons, Celebrity CEOs, Celebrity Saints so on and so forth. Once in a while some of these stars also get embroiled in controversies and fall from being adored to being hated by the public. The world has seen the fall of the likes of Tiger Woods, Rajat Gupta, Salman Butt, Azharuddin, Swami Nityananda, Ramalinga Raju and even the great seer Sri Sankaracarya of Kancheepuram.

Their achievements may be very important for industry/sports/literary bodies and agencies, but these persons seem to be mere mortals who have not conquered desires of worldly life and are very selfish towards their own wellness.

The TV also gives undue publicity and credit to these persons by telecasting programs about them on national holidays and during other important cultural events. More than professional accomplishments and more than holding important posts in the Government etc., these persons should think about serving the same society that has bestowed them with fame and fortune.

When one earns national fame it is important for him or her to understand that there are a million other people in society who revere and respect them for their accomplishments. In turn they should become more sensitive towards their own society. A sportsman such as Tiger Woods fell from being an adorable young sports icon of the highest class to a womanizer of the lowest class after admission of his own misdeeds. It would have been wonderful if Tiger spent some of his negative energy in other positive thoughts such as helping children in the third world countries and setting up other charities.

We see marketing companies/agencies create brand names for so many mediocre persons by just spending huge budgets. Such persons become the attention of young children. Children should be taught religion, philosophy, mathematics and science. They should not be taught idol worship persons who may have just become famous due to unethical marketing tricks and strategies.

It is also very important for children and other youth who may read this article to realize that public life is full of false claim and they may well be better of seeking control of their own actions. A person who has conquered his own mind will see God in his life than a publicly quoted person who has an alternate self of lust, anger, greed.

The Grand Canyon is one of the best places on Earth to visit. It is an incredible natural landscape that truly inspires everyone who visits it. It is a breathtaking natural wonder that is visited by millions of tourists each year. Its landscape consists of a massive gorge that measures 277 miles long and is approximately 4 to 18 miles wide. This is truly an unforgettable experience for individuals and family vacations. As soon as the sun rises, you can begin to see the vastness of the Grand Canyon and appreciate its natural beauty.

There is no one way to visit the Grand Canyon. Due to its size, you have to take at least a few days to visit all of the different posts where you can see various angles and geological structures of the canyon. Even the colors of the area begin to change with the different amounts of sunlight. You will see that at Hopi Point, it is one of the best to see these amazing changes in the landscape. There are also numerous trails that you can take. These trails are great for any type of traveler who is ready for an active adventure. Some of the trails are longer than the others, requiring visitors to camp out. For a shorter trail, you can try the magnificent Bright Angel Trail which you can hike up and down in one day.

Over a million people visit the Grand Canyon from all of the world. The best times to visit the Grand Canyon are during Spring and Autumn when the climate is great during the day but a bit chilly at night. During these seasons there are less people so you can avoid the crowds and the peak rates. Nevertheless, this climate offers optimal views because the air is clearer. The temperature does vary so it is advisable to pack accordingly to temperature that can be dry and hot one day and then freezing cold the next.

You can find great rates traveling to the Grand Canyon all year round. The closest airport to the canyon is Flagstaff. If you choose to camp you will save even more money than staying at different lodging resorts around the Grand Canyon. You can rent your own car which will give you a sense of freedom rather than catching the bus service that can take you around. However, one perk about the bus service around the Grand Canyon is that it is free. If you are thinking about taking a vacation in the Grand Canyon then make sure you do your research before you go so that you are fully prepared for this once in a lifetime adventure. You will never regret going to one of the most spectacular places on Earth.

In one situation, the driver of a military tank seeks to avoid crushing the intrepid individual obstructing his path. He does this even as this individual repeatedly blocks the evasive moves attempted by him. The individual is unharmed.

In another place and time, a heavy vehicle is reported to have been run over the individual obstructing its path. The driver had allegedly been directed to destroy the home of this individual, as official policy. Should he have avoided harming the individual?

Was the difference in morality influenced by tribalism? In the first situation, the two persons shared a nationality. In the second, there was a significant difference in both ethnicity and religion between the two persons. Even if the driver was influenced by a subconscious tribal prejudice, one which identified the defiant individual as ‘not one of us,’ should that sense claimed to be imparted by all the major religions of a shared humanity under Heaven have led to an ending which did not involve death?

There are, of course, tribes and tribes. In those nations created by immigrants (the prominent ones being the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand), political parties represent the tribes of primary relevance. Cultural tribes co-exist beneath this umbrella. In the rest of the world, it is cultural tribalism which guides, if not controls, societal conduct. A tribe can be defined as a people joined together by a common origin, a shared language, religion, and the cultural values and practices which have evolved over time.

Where the extended family reigns supreme, as in most parts of Asia – even modern Asia – tribal traditions will be upheld. Unlike the nuclear families of the Ultra-West, (the four principal nations mentioned above created by immigrants), the extended family is there to provide support to each individual. This support may be psychological or social or financial. Such support counter-balances the obligations which bind the individual to the collective. And it is the conglomeration of extended families which constitute the tribe. And, as long as tribalism reigns supreme, with religion the main glue bonding its components, inter-tribal prejudice may manifest itself.

Against this background, the contrast identified in the opening sentences above raise a significant question: is there not a need for, and an expression of, a personal morality even when tribal prejudice prevails? The answer? That one needs a conscience; one that allows an accord of some sort with tribal and religious prejudice.

It seems every generation tends to question the next one coming up, wondering if they will grow up and carry on the American Tradition, or plunder all we’ve built to make this the greatest nation in human history. Indeed, I can remember my own parents complaining, and my grandparents as well. Today, I am a little cynical when it comes to all the garbage on TV, the neo-liberal borderline socialist media, and all these social media websites.

The other day, I was discussing this with an acquaintance, and he was alarmed at the degradation of society, and what it was becoming, and really who wouldn’t be alarmed by some of this non-sense we see on our TVs, heck, I’ve turned it off, except for 15 minutes a day checking the stock market on CNBC, I haven’t watched it all week, and you know what, I haven’t missed a thing, it’s the same old sound and fury signifying nothing and quite frankly it’s dummying down America. Deny it? See, you can’t you agree with me don’t you?

Not only is it dummying us down, but it seems to be warping our minds, adjusting our opinions, and invading our thoughts, turning us into parroting politically correct comatose citizens. May as well join the Borg, it’s a reality TV show, oh you didn’t hear, all you have to do is win, and by then your mind is gone anyway?

However what say you to the argument presented by Jerry Springer to the question of; “why are you degrading society?” and he simply stated; “I am bringing people what they want, if they don’t want it, don’t watch, but everyone does, look at our ratings.” I suppose, Larry Flynn of Penthouse tried to claim the same. So, is it society leading art, or exploitation of society?

Now then, with regards to the nonsensical Social Online Networking websites, need for personal validation due to low self-esteem, one could say that the entrepreneurs in that case are satisfying a need, as would any other entrepreneur in any other venue in exchange for revenue, and these social networks offer something for free, solving a need of Maslow’s hierarchy in trade for data exploitation of the user, up until the point the user cries foul.

Is there a problem with society in the first place which allows for this to happen? Surely, it starts with the political correctness in our schools, colleges, and attempt to make everyone equal, so humans naturally want to “stand out” and to be different, an individual, thus, participate to show they are worthy and different, “different just like everyone else” of course, in that they all have something missing in their lives, something they are trying to replace using these social networks, thus, they are being exploited.

Yes, it is a problem with society, and it is unfortunate that folks are willing to carry on in that way. Is it right for the entrepreneurs to do that? Well, it is unethical for them to trick the users and then exploit their data without telling them, but then again, if a user posts private information online for the world to see, due to careless use of privacy filters, then who is really to blame.

I recall way back in 2004, when George W. Bush desired to reform social security. All of the democrats practically swore on a bible that social security was sound also it was having no financial problems. Any moron should have known they were lying.

Now these same people are now stating that social security is insolvent, what happened in just 5 or 6 short years to alter things?

Nothing happened, except business as always in Washington. Social Security is at trouble then around it’s now, it’s just the democrats do not understand economics and they didn’t want to give G.W. Bush credit for anything. They have been stealing money from us, the taxpayers for a long time, money which was supposed to be rat holed for the retirement was put into the overall fund and spent, thus making the deficit seem less than it actually was.

It had been bad enough before the sixties when money was really held in reserve for future retirees, Lyndon Johnson and his merry gang of socialists passed laws whereby the money didn’t have to be saved, it might go into the general fund and therefore finance his “Great Society”.

George W. Bush wanted to privatize the machine by placing a small portion of the payroll taxes deducted from an employee’s check into a good investment fund where it would collect interest and grow, regardless of what social security did.The democrats might have no some of it.They do not want to lose the Golden Goose and also the ability to spend money that’s not theirs.

The only method to save the social home security system is to raise the retirement age, exempt current retirees from the changes, and provide anyone under 50 the ability to invest their money right into a secure conservative retirement fund where it may earn compound interest and grow through the years.

For anybody 50 plus, the federal government will just have to place their losses, and arrange for the near future once the people who have invested in private fund’s and also the losses from social security begin to diminish, because the older citizens pass away.We can’t cut them off with nothing, their money was committed to good faith which ought to be honored.

Interestingly enough, Madoff isn’t only one managing a massive Ponzi Scheme. Indeed the United States government is also. For example, whenever you pay your social security taxes which are figured into every paycheck where does the money go? In to the general fund of the usa Treasury for use when needed for whatever expenditures the government makes.

What? Whoops? Why right go into a fund for the specific purpose of growing for those retirement years of all the people paying in? Oh yah, Social Security? Well, they’re going after Madoff for his thievery and Ponzi Scheme (50 Billion Dollars estimated) and the entire Social Security System is a scam.

There isn’t any profit any special Social Security fund, all that money collected goes into the overall fund and it is spent. Should you consider this we’re over 10-trillion within the hole for the future obligations, meanwhile we now have people screaming about underfunded pensions in Corporate America, no I’m not happy about this either, it’s wrong to promise employees something and not fund it.

Obviously, that is Nothing when compared to Social Security Ponzi Scheme. Just think relating to this for any second, your calculator doesn’t go that high, it can’t do that many zeroes! This is a lot of zeroes, time for you to start figuring in powers of 10.

Why can’t we be honest with ourselves and work to fix these complaints now before they get unmanageable? Some say it’s past too far, but it’s never too late to start and the longer we wait the worse it will be later on. Please think about this.
